After lots of searching and price-comparing, I placed an order for
magnetic signs with Accent Signs and Graphics
(http://www.accent-graphic.com/). The choice was made much simplier by the
fact that most companies I investigated had minimum orders of 250-1000
pieces and as this is an experiment for our club, I didn't think we'd want
to risk several hundred dollars. To eliminate the risk for you guys, this
company is doing a "run" of 25 that our family (the Sibleys) is paying
for. If you guys like them, the club can always order more. If we don't
like them, Leonard and I will be stuck ("stuck" with magnetic signs -- get
it?) with a stack of goofy signs and it won't have cost the club anything.

The magnetic signs will be 4x10 inches, printed in full-color on a sheet
of vinyl that is then applied to a magnetic sheet, cut, and laminated "for
a lifetime of use". (So they say.) They should be arriving within two
weeks. The cost (including shipping) per magnet is $8.16. I know that's
steep, but it's difficult to get anything custom-printed in small
quantities unless you have connections, which I don't. (And I didn't get
any responses from the last newsletter, so I'm assuming you guys don't
either.)

I also investigated static window clings, but all the reps I talked to
warned that window clings are not visible through tinted glass (which most
cars have). Vinyl decals were the next cheapest option, but their drawback
is that the adhesive on them can damage paint when removed, and that some
can be tricky to apply (you end up with bubbles). Even when applied to
glass, some decals can leave ink residue behind with the adhesive when
removed. The object was to support the team, not damage cars, so the
magnetic signs seemed the better option. They are easily applied and
removed. In fact, the only real problem with magnetic signs is that ANYONE
can remove them from your car and walk away with them. I've never had that
problem with our "support our troops" ribbons, so I'm hoping these
magnetic signs will fare as well.

I'm really excited to see the final results -- and I know Major Pogue will
be, too, since the color scheme is red, white, and blue. (Just kidding,
Garner.) Seriously, I hope all of you are interested in showing your team
pride and doing a little advertising for our club by displaying an HCAC
magnet on your automobiles.
