Last week I included my name in the nominations for HCAC secretary because it appeared we had no other nominations and we definitely need someone to keep track of the minutes! Now, we have a wealth of nominees, so I am withdrawing my name. I would much rather continue to serve as Public Relations Coordinator for the club (and continue maintaining the Web page, etc.) The minutes and a ballot follow. PLEASE VOTE ASAP -- We have a lot of work to do on the upcoming swim school as well as our new season. H.C.A.C. Meeting Minutes - Thursday, April 14, 2005 Meeting opened by Coach Montz. Coach Montz started the meeting by reviewing and explaining the training plan handout. The handout gave the parents a visual to help explain and understand why practices are implemented using certain strategies at different times. This provides an opportunity for each coach to identify both strengthens and weaknesses of each individual swimmer. If you were unable to attend the meeting, please see Coach Montz to get a copy of the handout. Please take the time to review the information, if you have any questions get with Coach Montz (not during practice time please) and have him share his abundance of knowledge with you. The terms; frequency, intensity, volume, peak, taper, physical prep, technical prep, tactical prep, and psychological prep really do mean a GREAT deal to each swimmers performance! Who would of thought!! Coach Montz did an outstanding job! We thank you for your time and for sharing your knowledge with us. Treasurer Denise Barham spoke to the parents in attendance about the need to vote and take nominations for the 2005/2006 Board. The following were the names that were either nominated by a written ballot or by verbal expression. Far as voting on an exact board, several parents felt like we didn’t. A parent suggested that we do a closed ballot. Therefore the current Board is requesting that each parent take a look at the names below or elect a parent and drop of your written ballot in the drop box by Monday, May 02, 2005. Please take a moment to write down your choice of our new Board Members for 2005/2006 Swim Season. This is very important; our Board needs to get working on the up coming swim school as well as our new season. If you are reading this e-mail and know of a parent who doesn’t receive e-mail then PLEASE share this information with them so everyone can elect new Board Members. Remember you are electing new Board Members NOT nominating, everyone had an opportunity to nominate, and our treasurer only received one written nomination.
